What's better than doing something you love for a living? Something you would quite happily do every day for free? Well, this could be your chance, as a gardening job has just come up in the picturesque town of Windsor. Oh and not to forget, but when reporting to the boss you'll need to address her as Your Majesty.

The Queen herself is advertising for a gardener at Windsor Castle - the Royal country residence which is set in 13 acres of land. Duties will include maintaining shrubbery, herbaceous and rose borders, keeping an eye on plant wellbeing and helping to support the growth of young trees.

As well as the basic elements you would expect to see on a job description, the official advertisement also draws attention to fact that, each day, members of the public will stop in wonder to look at your gardening achievements. The advert states, "It's admiring your lawn before millions do the same, it's taking every opportunity to make your mark".

If this is all starting to sound very appealing then you may be wondering what is required of you on a more personal level. Obviously, a passion for horticulture and a proper knowledge of plant and turf care is the most important asset to have. In fact, a minimum qualification of Level 2 EHS General Certificate or anything of a similar level is absolutely essential. A creative flair is also a must in candidates as they will be involved in the future Royal gardens' maintenance and design. The job is advertised with a salary of £17,000 a year and includes accommodation.
